PEMBINAAN KARAKTER GEMAR MEMBACA MELALUI PROGRAM GERAKAN LITERASI SEKOLAH DI KELAS IVA SDN SERANG 3

This study aims to determine the character development of a fondness for reading through School Literacy Movement (GLS) program in class IVA at SDN Serang 3. research uses descriptive and qualitative research.The subjects this were school principals, teachers, students Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation. To test validity data study, credibility test, transferability dependability conformability used. Then analyzed Miles Huberman model, which consists reduction, presentation, drawing conclusions. The results indicate that: 1) implementation GLS is based on rules Republic Indonesia Ministry Education Culture No. 23 2015. Its habituation stage, applied habit reciting together 15 minutes time every Thursday field by books they like; stage implemented non-academic activities participating literacy competitions outside school, holding between classes, giving awards; then stages are independent elementary curriculum bringing out skills it. positive impact implementing was an increase student learning outcomes students' interest reading, who could use their spare read without being asked teacher first. 2) supporting factors involving all members collaborating with education office parents book donor activities, as well providing infrastructure that supports program.
